How long can new.ctrout.com be "new"?
UPDATE: Thursday, February 7, 2008; I've just installed the newest Drupal theme, Tapestry from RoopleThemes; it's so new it's still undergoing beta testing. This theme is, IMHO, BOLD, STRIKING and BEAUTIFUL, and it needs a little tweaking, particularly line heights here and there.
Observers of this site may note that new.ctrout.com has been a "new" version for quite some time. What's going on, they may ask. We'll here's my story.
I created the new version, with the new sub-domain, as a Drupal version of the my old personal site at ctrout.com. That old site was created using Fusion, a product I've all but eliminated using in favor of Drupal. Drupal provides the advantage of being much easier to maintain and update. It's also much easier to theme, or change the general appearance.
In a typical case of the cobbler's children going barefoot, this site was created but has been waiting for months to get "themed," or made to look like my site as opposed to a canned, out of the box, standard theme, no matter how nice.
Lately, I've been busy creating a site for a church related project. Also, I've been waiting for a new version, expected shortly, of the theme I want to apply and customize for this site.
One of these days...
