Sheri and I first heard the First John Philip Sousa Memorial Band perform at the Sheldon Theatre in Red Wing, Minnesota in September, 1997. They continue to entertain us on a regular basis and there's rarely a month that goes by without our attending one of their concerts

February 24, 2008; Edinborough Park

A technical glitch affected recording this evening's concert. The result was failure to record the first two songs and recording the remainder of the concert using a makeshift recorder setup. Nevertheless, the recording sounded good while being monitored and in initial listening while converting the raw recording to an MP3 file. In the coming days/weeks we'll "slice and dice" this performance into individual song files. In the meantime, here's the available recording, from Bolivar through The Stars and Stripes Forever , as a single, large (48,450,422 bytes, or about 46.2 MB).  Please note that this file includes the ISGs (Inter Song Gaps) that are normally removed.
